U.S. Delegation Visits to Trinity Nyakabingo Mine
Over the past two months, Trinity Metals had the distinct honor of hosting two high-level U.S. delegations, reinforcing the growing international interest in Rwanda’s mining sector.
On March 21, 2025, we welcomed U.S. Congressman Dr. Ronnie Jackson and his delegation. Just weeks later, on April 9, 2025, we were privileged to host Dr Massad Boulos, U.S. Senior Advisor for Africa, alongside Corina Sanders, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs.

Both delegations visited Trinity Nyakabingo Mine, the largest Tungsten mine in Africa, where they toured our facilities and witnessed firsthand the full scope of our operations. Their visit included an underground tour of the mine, a stop at our processing laboratory, and a visit to our new decline development project that is designed to open up new virgin ground at depth. The plan will be two fully mechanize the future ‘mine’ below 22 level which will extend the life of mine and production.
In addition to seeing our operations in action, the delegations were also introduced to our robust traceability systems, which ensure transparency and accountability across our entire mineral supply chain.
As a leading mining company in Rwanda, it was an invaluable opportunity for us to highlight the innovation, responsibility, and potential within the Rwandan mining industry. More importantly, it allowed us to showcase that Rwanda has vast underground reserves that can lead to the sustainable supply of critical minerals that are in huge demand to fuel the future generation.
We are grateful for the visit and look forward to continued collaboration that supports both local development and global partnerships.
